Some members of the Union of African Scholars participate in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud competition for memorizing the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet in West African countries.

 

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud competition for memorizing the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet in West African countries was launched in Nouakchott, Mauritania, Tuesday, October 15, 2024, under the supervision of the Minister of Islamic Affairs and Education, Sidi Yahya Ould Lamrabet, at the Palace of Conferences in Nouakchott.

 

The number of contestants participating in this competition reached 136 from 16 countries, while the number of panels for the Holy Qur’an Competition is 5, and the Sunnah Competition also includes 5 panel members who are scholars and specialists in the science of readings and the science of hadith, including one of the founding members of the Union of African Muslim Scholars, and a member in the headquarter’s country

*AbuSaleh Dr. Othman Saleh Traoré, member of the Information and Public Relations Office in the Union Administration Office and head of the Union of Centers and Schools for Memorizing the Holy Qur’an in Mali, and Dr. Ismail Doukouré, member of the Union in the headquarters country

* and also Dr. Sekou Sedbi, and Dr. Mohamed Hami Nyagando from the headquarters country Mali.

The competition lasted 5 days, and the results were announced on October 20, 2024.
