Participation of the Secretary-General in the international conference in Uganda

 

In the period from 9 to 10 December 2024 AD, the Secretary-General of the Union of African Scholars, Dr. Said Muhammad Baba Sila, participated in the first international conference of the Ugandan Islamic Supreme Council at the Council’s headquarters in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, entitled “Contemporary Jurisprudential Issues.”
Heads of Islamic councils and muftis from several African countries participated in the conference.
The guest of honor at the conference was His Excellency the Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in Jeddah, Professor Qutb Mustafa Sano, an honorary member of the Union of African Scholars.
Among those who participated in the paper was the head of the local committee of the union in Kenya, Dr. Lawyer Hassan Nandwa, and members of the union include the Mufti of Rwanda, Sheikh Musa Sandegaya, Sheikh Omar Phiri from Zimbabwe, and the honorary member of the Union of African Scholars, Dr. Abubakar Dakuri from Burkina Faso, and others.
