COMMUNIQUE TO CONDEMN THE TERRORIST CRIMINAL BOMBING IN Al-MADEENAH AL-MUNAWWARAH
In the Name of Allah the Entirely Merciful the Especially Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. May the absolutely perfect peace and blessings of Allah be upon the Seal of Prophets and Messengers, our Prophet, Muhammad ; upon his household, his entire companions and those who follow them in righteousness till the Day of Recompense.
To proceed: The Muslim Ummah was certainly shocked by the terrorist and criminal bombing that occurred in the city of Al-Madeenah on the 29th of Ramadan year 1437AH ; and what preceded or followed that attack of similar bombings in other territories of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as other cities around the world.
The Muslim Scholars of Africa, based on its vision and mission and considering the fact that it is part and parcel of the Ummah issues this Communique condemning and denouncing this criminal act of shedding the blood of innocent people and in violation of the sanctity of the Prophet’s City in the last ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan.
In the course of this ugly act, the Union fervently prays Allah the Most High to forgive those who lost their lives and have mercy upon them and sincerely sends condolences to their relatives, the authorities in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the entire Muslim Ummah.
The Union hereby calls on countries and members of the Muslim communities – peoples and governments – to double their efforts in curtailing the rebellious kharijite ideology and exterminating it from its roots. Special
attention should be given to the youths to protect them against the misguiding ideology and enlighten them about the true teachings of Islam irrespective of their type of learning so that they would not be victims in the hands of those who spread this ideology as well as those who support it from amongst those who plot against Islam and the Muslims.
The Union affirms its support and acknowledgement of the efforts being made by the authorities in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving and taking care of the Two Noble Mosques in Makkah and Al -Madeenah as well as providing security for the pilgrims, those who perform ‘Umrah and the visitors. The Union prays Allah the Most High to make them succeed in getting rid of the corrupters and repelling the aggressors.
Finally, we pray Allah the Omnipotent to eliminate those criminals and that the statement of the Prophet be actualized in them in which he says :«No one will plot against the people of Al-Madeenah except that he will dissolve (vanish and be destroyed) just as salts dissolves in water»[Narrated by Muslim Hadeeth N0 1877], so that the Ummah will be saved from their evils.
May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet, Muhammad, his household and entire companions
