The Executive Director Graces the Convocation of Five Sets from King Khalid University, Bamako under the Auspices of His Excellency, the Saudi Ambassador to Mali Republic

 

The Executive Director of the Union of African Muslim Scholars, Dr. Umar Bamba graced the convocation of five sets from King Khalid University, Bamako on Saturday 23rd Safar, 1444A.H, corresponding with 9th September, 2023. Each set was named after prominent personalities as follows: Dr. Abdul Azeez Meiga set with 39 graduands; Dr. Adam Sunkari set, with 69 graduands; Abubakar Tayam set, with 42 graduands; Modibbo set, with 32 graduands; Mahmud Kuma set and with 36 graduands.
The event was agog with representatives of both public and private universities, Azhar delegates in Mali, as well as prominent academics, proprietors of Arabic and Islamic schools, in addition to press men and other dignitaries of the country.
The total number of the graduands is 218 from the faculties of Shariah and Islamic Studies as well as Arabic language and translation.
While making his speech, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Abubakar Tawri pointed to the will of the University Management to establish more faculties in a not distant time. The event was concluded with an award given to some academic and administrative staff of the University as well as special prayer for the audience, students and the nation at large, which was led by Shaykh Musa, who was, from 1981, the pioneer director of the institute which turned University.
