Morocco: The Head of the Media Committee, Union of African Muslim Scholars; Professor Khidr AbdulBaqi, Elected as the President of the African Union of Arab and Arabist Academics

The prominent academician who is the Director of the Nigerian Centre for Arabic Research and also the Head of the Media Committee of the Union of African Muslim Scholars; Prof. Khidr AbdulBaqi Muhammad has been elected as the president of the African Union of Arab and Arabist Academics. Honourary President was given to the former Chadian Minister; Ustādh Dr Abdullah Nazif, and Prof. Muhammad Buzankat from Morocco was chosen as General Secretary.
This was declared at the conclusion of the International Conference themed: “The Arabic Speakers of Sub-Saharan Africa” organised by the College of Literature, Science and Humanities, Ibn Zohr University, Agadir, Morocco. Prominent attendees from more than 20 African countries were present.
